On 8th June, four ALDI stores simultaneously opened their doors to Perth, expanding their Australian presence into Western Australia. Polkadot + Moonbeam performed as part of the festivities at the Belmont Forum ALDI store, briefly making an appearance on Channel 9 News who were covering the event. Congratulations and Welcome ALDI to WA! A big thanks also to Champion Music for connecting us, and Julie and Stacie of Belmont Forums for having us, and for the great photos.

On June 20th and July 4th, the vocals, ukulele and bass jazz duo band Polkadot + Moonbeam perfomed at Perth’s Laneway Lounge. They also featured their roving ukulele and melodica lineup. On May 6th, Polkadot + Moonbeam performed as part of the Tokyo leg of Yellowren Arts Festival 2014, which was held at the Design Festa Gallery in Harajuku. A big thanks to Yellowren for having us, and to Kanako-san for the photos!
On May 3rd Polkadot + Moonbeam performed at the inaugural Sentosa Ukulele Festival 2014, augmented by Singapore’s top rhythm section players bassist Wendy Phua and drummer Tan Boon Gee. They played alongside an international cast that included James Hill (Canada) and Sungha Jung (Korea), as well as fabulous Singaporean acts Jack & Rai and Eileen Chai. A big thanks to the Festival and Eileen Chai for the photos!
For the month of December, Polkadot + Moonbeam was featured at The Star Vista performing Christmas classics. A big thanks to our guitarist and guitar designer pal Daniel Purnomo for these great shots!
