Today Polkadot + Moonbeam at Esplanade Singapore was augmented by one of Singapore’s most in-demand trumpet players Dan Wong. For this special occasion, Dan brought his flugelhorn, adding another dimension to Polkadot + Moonbeam’s unique sound. This show not only featured a brilliant new player, but also two sets of fresh arrangements and original songs to welcome in 2014, including a collaborative composition with Dan Wong. A big thanks to our friend Peter Lamm for the great photo!
For the month of December, Polkadot + Moonbeam was featured at The Star Vista performing Christmas classics. A big thanks to our guitarist and guitar designer pal Daniel Purnomo for these great shots!
Today Polkadot + Moonbeam took part in The Cafe Show at Chye Huat Hardware organised by Hummingbird Concepts. A big thanks to Dawn and Felix for their hard work in organising the show, and of course for taking and editing this video! It features Juliet Pang’s original composition ‘Hazel’.
On May 22nd, Polkadot + Moonbeam shot a series of videos at Perth’s Tartine Café. The magnificent colourful birds painted by Sydney-based artist Anya Brock provided a contrasting backdrop to the not-so-colourful bird in the song. A big thanks to propietor Niall Lawlor for having us at his wonderful cafe!
On Easter Saturday 2013, Juliet Pang‘s trio Midnight Sun with Surabaya fingerstyle guitarist Daniel Purnomo were featured at Jazz Up, an Easter event organised by 7KICKStart Cafe and Ticket Mash that featured a performance jazz-tinged spirituals.
