On August 3rd, Polkadot + Moonbeam performed at the media launch of Anthesis Boulangerie, Bistro & Café on Robertson Quay together with celebrity entertainer and MC Mervyn Goh. We certainly enjoyed the wonderful food served in the set breaks, a big thanks to Mervyn Goh and Anthesis for having us, we wish you a great future ahead!

It was a real pleasure having the both of you perform at the launch yesterday. Your style of music and voices were perfect for the setting! I had goosebumps!

Today White Noise Quartet (featuring principal members of Midnight Sun) presented an alternative lineup to their usual piano/bass/drums rhythm section format. This time, the Quartet featured violinist Lim Hui and percussionist Jeremy Yeo, musicians who had previously been featured on Juliet Pang‘s debut CD Perfect Journey. The venue was a rustic cafe on Owen Road, L’etoile, and the performance featured the original compositions on the CD albums Perfect Journey (2010) and White Noise Live (2012), as well as recently written new compositions.

As part of Esplanade Singapore’s Jazz in July 2013 program, White Noise (featuring the principal members of Midnight Sun) performed together with double bassist and composer/arranger Felix Phang at Esplanade Concourse. The program featured original compositions by vocalist Juliet Pang, pianist Didi Mudigdo as well as a composition by the special guest double bassist Felix Phang.

Today Mint performed at a fabulous wedding at Chijmes, an event venue in Singapore with a history dating back to 1841 as a Catholic convent. As is customary at Jewish weddings, Hava Nagila was performed at the end, with everyone joining in on the dancing.

You did an AMAZING job last night and were so good with moving the crowd! I know our guests had fun and were enjoying dancing and singing to the songs. Thanks for being so game with our march-in request and especially with the Hava Nagila! – Bride

I wanted to thank you both for helping create a very magical night for us — it was great fun. And you and Didi were wonderful. As always, your music warmed my heart, and I know Jan’s and the guests. But beyond that, it’s your warmth and kind spirit that you and Didi share — it just added to the love in the room. – Groom

Today the two principle members of White Noise Quartet (who happen to be the two principle members of Midnight Sun) performed as a duo at Singapore’s favourite little bookstore Books Actually. They played original songs off their CD White Noise Live, and featured talks by the artists who designed the CD cover art: designer Ric Liu and phtographer Tan Ngiap Heng.

mimuthings‘ are two fabulous little characters created in 2002 by the talented Hong Kong designer and handcrafter Fion Wong Pui Man. In May, she held an exhibition of her designs that featured mimuthings at Singapore’s Monster Gallery. Polkadot + Moonbeam (in roving acoustic unplugged mode) was the featured musical act of the exhibition.
