A consummate singer, pianist, bassplayer and composer, Didi Mudigdo was the most-downloaded jazz vocals artist on the Australian MP3 website mp3.com.au in 2005, and in the same year was a Top 10 finalist in the Australian National Songwriting Contest (jazz category). Born in Australia to Indonesian parents, he had a multinational upbringing, living in Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Malaysia and Sri Lanka before the age of 12. He graduated from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in 1997 with a jazz major, and has since toured Australia and Asia performing at many festival, jazz clubs and exclusive hotels. As well as performing live, Didi has recorded as a sideman for several Sydney recording artists and his own albums, the most recent being “Didi Three Live” (2008) which was recorded live in Sapporo Japan.
